Bank Holiday Weekend is just around the corner, have you got any plans? Are you heading away or staying local? I’ll still be working but I also plan to blow the cobwebs away with beach walks and some good food (it would be rude not to). Here’s 3 of my favourites (not that I’ll get to them all this weekend!). Where’s your favourite seaside spot? Comment below!

Nairn Beach(es); east, west and secret! Although not so secret any more… Nairn’s award-winning beaches stretch for miles, with fabulous views across the Moray Firth and daily dolphin sightings. Perfect for families, dog walking and water activities, situated in a seaside resort with excellent facilities nearby (you must try the fish tacos at Strathnairn Café, indulge in ice cream at James’ and take in the unrivalled views from the Sun Dancer Restaurant).

Firemore Beach on the north west coast, is just a hop, skip and a jump from my childhood home. A beautiful quiet beach, located on the shore of Loch Ewe, offers some of the warmest waters on the west, due to the Gulf Stream. An unspoilt, rural sandy beach, with plenty opportunities to spot wildlife and the local livestock who graze nearby! Many happy memories of this beach, from primary school summer picnics to BBQ’s and lost car keys with friends and even organising an elopement a few years ago (in my previous life as a wedding planner). My siblings and I also used to come to Firemore to roll our hand painted boiled eggs at Easter time 🙂

Findhorn Beach is a must at any time of year. I love the pebbled shore (which is all you see at high tide) but once the tide goes out, you can enjoy the never-ending sands. Everyone always seems happy at Findhorn Beach, whether that’s the micro-climate or the picturesque beach huts, or the range of delicious eateries – I always feel like I’m on holiday when I come here, even although I live just 20 minutes along the road. Findhorn is also a hotspot for water activities, with so many options open to all.

Even if you can’t get to your favourite seaside spot this weekend, you can indulge your senses and burn one of our fabulous sea inspired fragrances, which will take you there through scent. Enjoy Sea Salt Lips or Sea Grass Whisper for a real taste of the seaside.
